Speed Medical Wrapped 2024

As we enter the New Year, we’re reflecting on 2024, a year filled with milestones, innovation and heartfelt contributions to our industry and community.

From launching new initiatives to being recognised for our excellence and deepening our impact in the medico-legal and healthcare sectors...

It truly has been an incredible 12 months, here’s a detailed look at all the milestones we hit last year.

The Launch of Paid+

2024 saw the official introduction of Paid+, a cutting-edge solution designed to provide our clients with financial flexibility when it comes to payment terms, and a ground-breaking collaboration with Allianz Legal Protection (ALP) developed with one goal in mind: to make the payment process easier, more efficient, and tailored to the diverse needs of our clients.

With Paid+, clients can now access a simplified and customisable payment structure, streamlining their financial management and enabling quicker resolutions.

The overwhelmingly positive response has cemented Paid+ as a core element of our offering, and we’re excited to see its continued growth in 2025.

Supporting The SIA

In December 2024, we became an official business member of the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) – a tremendous milestone which reflects our dedication to supporting individuals and families affected by spinal injuries, as well as our commitment to staying at the forefront of industry knowledge and advocacy.

Spinal injuries impact thousands of lives each year, and through our partnership with the SIA, we aim to raise awareness, offer support and provide expert services that make a meaningful difference.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in aligning Speed Medical’s expertise with the needs of those most vulnerable, and we could not be prouder.

Making a Difference

At Speed Medical, each and every one of our team members believe in giving back to our communities, and this year was no exception.

Whether it was through fundraising events, awareness campaigns, or volunteering efforts, our team has shown time and again that making a difference goes far beyond business objectives. It’s part of who we are, and here’s a how we took the steps to help:

• Key Account Manager, Nathan Scragg, attended the Brake, The Road Safety Charity golf day as well as the Exclusive Law Group golf day
• Nathan also attended the Child Brain Injury Trust evening meal event
• We attended this year's S&G Response charity golf day at Mottram Hall, helping to raise much needed funds for The Children's Adventure Farm Trust
• Our Commercial Director, Darren Pardon, joined his fellow veterans at the Cenotaph for the Remembrance Day march
• We held a successful event involving office table Olympics, a silent auction, manager car wash services and pie your team leader, all in aid of Cash for Kids where together we raised an incredible total of £746

Industry Events and Awards

This year, we made our mark here at Speed Medical by attending several key industry events, engaging with peers, clients and thought leaders to share insights and showcase our expertise.

We were thrilled to be nominated for multiple awards as a testament to our innovation, service excellence and commitment to client satisfaction, and while recognition is always rewarding, these nominations also serve as motivation to continue exceeding expectations and setting new benchmarks in our industry.

• The SIA Gunpowder Ball, dedicated to the importance of spinal injury awareness and raising funds for such a vital cause
• The SCIL conference
• The Legal Futures PI Futures conference
• the Leigh Day Summer Party
• The Association of Consumer Support Organisations (ACSO) evening
• The British Claims Awards
• The 1st Central Insurance Management Supplier Fair
• The Blume Expertise event
• The Action against Medical Accidents conference
• Caroline attended the Allianz Golf Day alongside Steve Rowley, David White , James Barclay, Tony Dyas, Peter Rigby, Peter Holland, and Dave Nash at The Belfry Hotel and Resort
• Darren attended the 50th anniversary reception of the Spinal Injuries Association with Princess Anne
• Caroline and Amelia both attended the Blume Women Leading with Empowerment Event, where they connected with other female leaders in a variety of industries to recognise their incredible work
• The Personal Injury Awards where we were so proud to be finalists in both Medico-Legal Provider and Supporting The Industry categories
• And finally, we were named as a finalist at this year's British Claims Awards under the Best Employer category too!

Celebrating Our People

We really do appreciate our teams here at Speed Medical, and it’s important for us to give back to them and celebrate how much they mean to us.

That’s why we were so excited to host our Sommer Fest at Park Hall Hotel & Spa, where the team enjoyed some fabulous welcome drinks, tasty traditional Bavarian food, an amazing OOMPAH band, and to top things off, we announced the winners of our coveted annual awards - Luke Cornwell in Commercial Support, winner of Employee of the Year, and Susan Henry, who was presented with a 20 years’ service award by Graham Pulford from the handl Group.

As well as this, we also hosted our annual client Christmas party where we enjoyed a brilliant night connecting with clients and getting the team together under one roof.

If that wasn’t enough, we also celebrated a number of anniversaries throughout 2024 too, including Sarah Rostron on her 10-year anniversary, Sam Hudson, Sharon Gordon FCCA and 20 years of Speed Medical.

Moving Into 2025 With Speed Medical...

None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the incredible work of the Speed Medical team, and from our front-line staff to our leadership, every individual has played a crucial role in making 2024 a success.
