Celebrating 20 Years
This year Speed Medical turns 20 and we kicked off our celebrations in style with a fun-filled day of golf, outdoor activities and luxurious spa treatments followed by an evening of fine dining, drinks and entertainment.
On Tuesday 31st May, the Speed Medical management team descended on the stunning Carden Park estate joined by industry VIPs making up a fantastic group of both suppliers and customers.
It was an early start for our golfers with breakfast served at 8am ready for a 10am shotgun start. The course was showered in sun and the teams were ready to jump into their buggies and head to the first hole. Everyone was up for the challenge on the notoriously difficult Nicklaus Course with some playing better than others - James McDougall, Nick Stone and Iain Cherry came out on top as the day’s winning team!
Team Speed assembled at 12.15pm for lunch before tackling the Outdoor Activity Day with The Event Station! The group was split into 6 teams and they were set their first task – the objective was to use the tools provided to direct a ball from one end to the other in the slowest time possible and into a toilet seat. After a final victory, the teams were split and taken to different activities including Rollerball, Segway Ice Bucket Challenge, Laser Clay Pigeon, Archery and the grand finale Total Wipeout!
Some of our guests opted for a more relaxing, indulgent day in Carden Park’s luxury spa. With 3 amazing treatments options, they were spoilt for choice and able to spend the rest of the day luxuriating in everything the spa had to offer.
We then got ready into our party best and met for a Champagne Reception in the Carden Suite before unveiling the beautifully dressed room. The evening was filled with fine dining, crafted cocktails and flowing wine, fun party games and brilliant entertainment with our amazing charity collection raising a total of £1255 for St. Catherine’s Hospice.
