An Interview with Darren Pardon
2024 saw a major leadership development as we welcomed Darren Pardon to our Senior Management Team as Commercial Director.
Darren’s strategic vision and industry expertise have already begun to reshape how we approach challenges and opportunities, and his focus on innovation, client service and team development has laid the groundwork for an exciting future at Speed Medical.
In this interview, we cover new developments for Speed Medical, Darren’s highlights from last year and how he is setting his sights on success both personally and professionally in 2025.
Looking back at 2024, what's been your favourite part of being Commercial Director at Speed Medical so far?
Since joining at the beginning of August (where has that time gone, they do say time flies when you are having fun!), I have most enjoyed meeting the wider Speed family, getting to know our extensive Client base and spending some time getting know some of the broader Handl Group businesses.
Since your appointment, what's changed at Speed Medical?
As part of Speed’s ongoing engagement with our clients, we identified that managing cashflow is one of the largest problems facing the industry.
With this knowledge, we then used our long-standing relationship with key businesses and have launched the PAID + collaboration with Allianz, a product that we believe will revolutionise the way law firms are able to manage their cash flow.
Speaking of Allianz, what does the PAID+ collaboration mean to both Speed Medical and the wider industry?
Our groundbreaking PAID+ collaboration is a great platform to address critical industry challenges by providing a product which delivers better cash flow management for law firms, whilst still being able to access timely medical evidence.
Is there anything you can share about what's in store for Speed Medical in 2025?
As part of the “added value” we share with our clients, we are planning to host some conferences that will focus on some of the current ongoing challenges the market is experiencing, whilst providing the attendees with guidance on those challenges and also potential solutions!

How do you think Speed Medical can best support its clients and potential clients in the new year?

Speed Medical are now Business Members of the Spinal Injuries Association – we are the first Medical Agency to become official SIA partners.

And finally, just for fun, do you have any new year's resolutions?
I have always wanted to learn to play the guitar – who knows, 2025 maybe the year that it happens!
